The Fresno State Bowling team competed at the Glenn Carlson Invitational and the Collegiate Shootout against tough fields of 60 teams. The Bulldogs finished 49th at the Glenn Carlson Invitational and 44th at the Collegiate Shootout—results that fell short of our expectations.
While the finishes were disappointing, this stretch provided valuable experience and highlighted areas for growth. The team is using these events as a learning opportunity and remains focused on improving every day. With eyes set on Sectionals in April, the Bulldogs are motivated, preparing with purpose, and ready to respond.
One moment we would like recognize are the student athletes that graduate after the fall semester, which would make these tournaments their last. We would like to recognize one of our own bulldogs Miguel Acosta for graduating after this semester. He has been a pleasure to coach throughout these past few years and we wish him the best!
We would like to make a special shootout to some parents for the continue support throughout this tournament. Thank you to the Weinstein family for providing us with a dinner on Friday Night. We would also like to thank the Davis, Krause, Patterson and Nakunz family for their support.
We would like to thank both tournament directors, Mathieu Gee and Frank Barnhart, for the continued effort to run these tournaments. South Point Casino Bowling plaza is always a great place to bowl and we thank them for their hospitality during these past days. We would also like to our sponsors Brunswick, Vise and Genesis for their continued support.
Lastly, we would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Next tournament is January 16th-18th in Arizona.
