Bulldogs start the season in Wichita!

The Fresno State Bulldogs bowling team competed in their first tournament of the 2024-2025 year over the weekend. This is the first time in the program’s history where we traveled to Mid-States Intercollegiate Tournament at Bowlero Northrock in Wichita, KS. This tournament was a Tier 1, which is new for us to experience this type of tournament in our first one.

We bowled on a 40ft pattern with 27ml. On Saturday, we struggled out the gates with ball reaction. As the day progressed, our team got better and finished the day at 12 place with 192 pins out of the cut. Sunday was a different story. We made changes to the game-plan and started the day strong! However, pair to pair was hard to overcome and struggled during the rest of block. We ended up in 12th for the tournament. Even though we came short of our goal, this is just the beginning and continue to work for our ultimate goal at the end of the year!

Individually, the Bulldogs were led by Spencer Norvell (212 average) who finished 13th for the all athletes. We also want to shout out freshman Bryce Nakunz and Neil Weinstein who finished in the top 75!
