From the Desk of Coach Chin:

The Bulldogs competed in their final Tier 2 tournaments of the season in San Jose, CA for both the Varsity and Junior Varsity teams. On Saturday, both teams bowled 7 team games on a 43’ ft (2.8:1) pattern. The Varsity, were up and down throughout the day and held a 9 pin lead going into position round. Unfortunately, the bulldogs were short by 34 pins behind UNLV and finished 2nd for the tournament. Great bowling UNLV! The junior varsity team ended up winning their division by 70 pins. Congrats to the JV team!

The Bulldogs were lead by Neil Weinstein, who averaged 209 for the tournament. Not only did he lead all individuals for day 1, he was the only bowler to average 200! Great bowling kid! Other bulldogs were Spencer Norvell (averaged 194) and Miguel Acosta (average 192) who placed top 10 within the tournament!

On Day 2, the Bulldogs bowled on a 37ft (2.78:1) pattern. Both JV and Varsity had struggled throughout the day. Going into position round, The varsity team was in 3rd and the JV was in 2nd. The varsity team went around Fullerton and finished in 2nd place behind San Jose State, which they ran away with tournament. Great bowling SJSU! The JV held their ground in 2nd place!

Once again the Bulldogs were lead by Neil Weinstein who finished 2nd, with a 224 average and Nolan Byers, with a 210 average. Both players were a part of the All Tournament Team! Great bowling by both bowlers! Congrats to Nolan for getting his first career All Tournament Team!
